What is your role within Happy Jobs NI?
I’m the Social Media and Marketing Executive at Happy Jobs NI. My role is quite varied, but it mostly involves carrying out the daily marketing functions of the company including social media content creation, graphic design and blog writing.
How long have you been working with Happy Jobs NI?
I’ve been working at Happy Jobs NI since March 2022. I’m still quite new to both recruitment and marketing but I think I have settled in well and learned a lot already!
What do you love about working for Happy Jobs NI?
I love the flexibility that is offered to me, I have a fantastic work-life balance with Happy Jobs NI. I also love how my tasks each day are often varied and challenging in different ways, my days are never mundane.
How did your career path take you to the recruitment industry/What’s your background?
After leaving University I worked in various roles within the events industry for a few years, from production, to security, to event management. I was looking for a new role as a temporary position came to a close and came across my current position online. I liked the idea of getting into marketing as it seemed like an exciting industry which I could approach creatively. I think this role has lived up to my expectations; I’ve definitely challenged myself and developed my skills already in the short time I’ve been here.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Never salt your soup before you have tasted it.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to cook, especially Thai and Indian food. I spend as much time travelling to other countries and generally exploring the great outdoors as possible. And an equal amount of time petting my cat, of course.
